Title:-Mouthwatering and healhty aloo paratha
Introduction:- Aloo paratha is made in Indian breakfast which are made of wheat flour, boiled potatoes, spices and herbs. Most commonly see in the Indian family this breakfast. It is easy to make the parathas tiffin box.
Ingredients:
For the Aloo paratha dough
- 2 whole wheat flour
- 2 tbsp melted ghee
- salt to taste
- 2 1/2 cups boiled,peeled and mashed potatoes
- 2 tsp melted ghee
- 1 tsp jeera powder
- 1 tsp blackpepper powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 2-3 chopped green chillies as per choice
- 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander(dhania patha)
- 1 tsp amchur powder(dried mango powder)
- 1 tsp chat massala
- Add 2 cups and whole wheat flour, 1/4 tsp salt, 2tbsp melted ghee and half cup of water in a mixing bowl. make a soft dough as per required make sure that dough should not become sticky. make it soft and non sticky.
- Cover and keep it aside until the stuffing is ready. keep it atleast for 30 minutes.
- Take a 3 potatoes of medium size. Boil the potatoes until fork tender without making them mushy or water logged. If cooking in a pressure cooker, place the potatoes in the cooker along with 1 cup water. Pressure cookon a medium heat and whistle it for 3-4. After cooling te cooker for 5 to 10 min remove the potatoes outside.
- After potatoes cool down peel them and grated or smashed with fork until it smooth.
- In separate bowl, mixed the smash potatoes with jeera powder, coriander powder,amchur powder and chat massala mix it well then add chopped chillies as per choice and coriander leaves,and salt to taste all these mixtures mix it very well to form a uniform filling.
Making of aloo paratha-
- Divide the dough into small balls and flatten each ball into small disc using your palms. Take one ,dust with flour and roll it into small circle
- Place a spoonfull of the potato filling in the centre of the roll. Bring the mixture properly at the centre and seal the edges of the dough to form a ball again.
- Press the stuffed ball and dustv with flour. And roll the stuffed ball carefully and make it round shape make sure the filling doesn't come out
- Heat the tawa on medium, once the tawa heat make on low flame and put paratha on tawa when bubbles come flip the paratha and apply the ghee on both side. Press down gently with spatula for cooking on both side.
- Flip again and see the aloo paratha cook until its turns golden brown on both sides.
- Serve the hot and delicious aloo parathas with yogurt,pickles or any chutney or a tomato sauce as per your choice.
