This is the simple bengali recipe used in Kolkata city. Those who love the potatos( Aloo) will definately love it. This recipe is simple and tasty for quick making. Let see the recipe below.
Type-Bengali cuisine (Aloo panchphoran)
Prep time-40 min serve-3 to 4 people
Ingredients
4 aloo cut into med sized pcs
1tbsp mustard oil(optional)
1 tsp panchphoran(saunf,methi,jeera,kalonji,mustard)
1tsp turmeric powder
1tsp Red chilli powder
1 cup water
salt
Cooking Instructions:-
Step 1:- Take a vessel, add oil, heat it
Step 2:- Low off the flame (to avoid burning) add panchphoran, let it splutter.
Step 3:- Add Aloo stir fry it with low flame then add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt for our own choice stir fry with aloo and close the lid and steam for 1 to 2 min after steaming add water stir it.
Step 4:- Lower the flame close the lid for 5-10 min after that open the lid and stir it properly and switch off the flame
Step 5:- Garnish with coriander(Dhaniya patta) serve with Roti or rice.
